Hello, My name is April Graham and I am a chronic pain sufferer.\u00a0 I have been diagnosed as having severe chronic migraine and just recently, Fibromyalgia.\u00a0 The first migraine I got, was when I was pregnant with my second daughter at 24.\u00a0 It felt as though every step my brain would implode through my eye.\u00a0 I continued to get them every now and then.\u00a0 In December of 2017, I had a fall at work and when I landed, the impact travelled through my right arm and into the neck.\u00a0 I was so shaken up, my muscles started to spasm and not stop.\u00a0\u00a0 I went to the chiropractor for help, and he informed me the muscles were so tight, it popped my shoulder out of socket.\u00a0 This event led to a hospital exam which showed discs in my neck were bulging.\u00a0 This is when the migraines intensified.\u00a0 I would get them out of no where, have ora, vomiting and severe head pain.\u00a0 I tried medical massage and physical therapy but had no relief.\u00a0 I was referred to a neurologist, and we tried multiple medications and none of them seemed to work.\u00a0 I then was a candidate for Botox injections, but still have at least 12 migraine attacks per month.\u00a0 This led to me becoming unemployed.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My life completely changed because of the severity of these attacks.\u00a0 I could not stay at work when an attack hit or even go to work.\u00a0 I had to cancel plans on numerous times.\u00a0 Migraines can come at any time, week days, weekends, cold weather, warm weather, at any given pressure change in the weather and impending rain or snow.\u00a0 Since I had the fall, my life has completely changed for the worse.\u00a0 I had anxiety attacks, deep depressions and withdrawing from the outside world.\u00a0 I started posting on Facebook, for prayers and to find a community that may be suffering to.\u00a0 I want to let people know that they are not alone.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My goal for this website and podcast is to help the many sufferers in the Miami Valley.\u00a0 We have a unique weather system and to create an audience that could potentially help others, is my goal.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On my good days, I love to play with my grandchildren, dinners with my 3 adult children and my husband.\u00a0 I love hanging out with my friends and giggling the night away.\u00a0 I love live music, movies and, working out, and comedy shows.\u00a0 I love camping and travelling. \u00a0I am determined to keep those activities going, despite my pain.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Husband to April, dad to our daughters, and grandparent to our grandchildren are all core to who I am. Always a phone call away to help friends and family or to enjoy their company. A hobbyist in video, audio, 3d-printing, I love some of my hobbies are merging with April’s need to help others who suffer from chronic pain. While working hard at my job or for family, it is hard for me to take moments to kick back relax and recharge my own stores, so that I can give to my family.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a troubleshooter by nature, it is also what I do for work, seeing the love of my life suffer from something I can’t troubleshoot has been a challenge. Hopefully those who are support for family or friends suffering chronic pain can learn or help me learn more to not only help our people, but take better care of ourselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
