What you’ll find here

Years of seeking products that could help with chronic pain and migraines have left a trail of products which have helped and others not so much. Here is a list of products I have tried and some of the pros and cons that come with each.

Cold Packs/Gel

Core Products Soft Comfort CorPak, No Frost Hot and Cold Therapy Pack

First cold pack used can be used over top of the head or across the back of the head and neck. Still used for Fibro pain.

Pros: Stays cold a long time. Doesn’t frost or sweat. Comes in multiple sizes.
Cons: Doesn’t form to or stay on the top of head well.

Headache Hat

Had sewn in gel packs that freeze solid. Is a belt that uses velcro to fasten and has no gel packs. Is used when the skin on the forehead is too sensitive for direct cold.

Pros: Stays cold a long time. Stays on well.
Cons: Gel packs cause pressure points.

Magic Gel Migraine Ice Head Wrap

Had sewn in gel packs that freeze almost solid. Open on top for those with long hair.

Pros: Stays cold a long time. Forms better to head. Stays on well.
Cons: Gel packs cause pressure points but not as sharp as the Headache Hat.

TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap

Filled completely with a layer of gel.

Pros: Forms completely to head. Has the most direct surface contact. Stays on well.
Cons: Does not stay cold long like the ones with the sewn in packs.
